CSE Junior Club wraps up

The CSE Southern Junior Club finished off the term on Friday with a final session of games and a small prize giving. The Junior Club has been running during the course of the summer term at Rondebosch Boys High School. Our juniors (soft ball) enjoyed weekly sessions in which coaches took them through the basics of cricket, tested their fielding, batting and bowling whilst including elements of etiquette and general knowledge. The seniors were put into 3 teams, u10, u11 and u13's. They took part in the local Western Province Cricket Association Youth Leagues. Overall they faired very well and we have enjoyed seeing our regular students improve year by year. CSE Welcomes Hermanus Region

The Cricket School is excited to welcome Pierre Kriel from Hermanus to the team.  Pierre is a local Hermanus boy having being schooled at the Primary and High School. He continues his passion for the game by representing Hermanus CC 1st XI. He has enjoyed some experience abroad when playing for Southampton.  The Hermanus region recently completed their first holiday clinic and it was well supported by the local community. CSE Founder Ryan Maron has welcomed Pierre to the team saying that his passionate and energetic personality would endear him to the students he meets and contribute to the success of cricket in the area.

"Incredible India, how apt the slogan. India,a place of contrasts. The Western Cape School Cricket Association Under 14 side were comprised of boys, selected at the Feedem Pitseng tournament held annually in Worcester in December 2012.. CSE student Josh Schippers just spent 12 wonderful days in Bangalore. Playing cricket 10 of the 12 days. He was exposed to such diverse playing condition. From wonderful lush lawn outfields to barren, clay outfields. He competed in 3 x 30 over matches, 3 x 50 over matches and 4 x T20 matches. The boys competed in the Pepsi Cricket Series 2013. The Imtiaz Ahmed Cricket Academy hosted us in Bangalore. They have 500 Under 12 and Under 14 boys under their tutorage....Read More
