Corporate Sports Days provide a refreshing alternative to Corporate
Golf Days
A dynamic, family orientated day marks the beginning of a new genre of corporate team building days.
Corpfam was conceptualized by former Western Province cricketer, Ryan Maron, and well known South African chef, Jean Nel.
“The idea stemmed from my original aim of offering corporate cricket days,” said Ryan, “Jean and I fused the idea of sport and cooking and decided it would be the perfect solution to an innovative and productive team building session.”
Companies can choose from a variety of activities including sport, cooking, children’s entertainment, pony rides, heli-flips and even beauty treatments. The ‘day’ can be tailored to the profile and needs of companies across the board. According to Jean what makes Corpfam unique is that family members can share the experience of the day. The activities are designed to encourage employees and their families to work together, as a team.
“Men can learn to make sushi and women can partake in a game of cricket or tag rugby whilst their kids are kept entertained by a variety of “fit & fun” activities with BMF (British Military Fitness). Mixing the teams adds spice!” said Jean.
Ryan Maron founded the Ryan Maron’s Cricket School of Excellence in 2000 and runs nationwide clinics in affluent schools and disadvantaged areas in South Africa as well as the Netherlands. Ryan’s commitment to children and social responsibility has led him to join forces with The JAG Sports and Education Foundation. The Foundation, run by Elana Meyer, aims to provide kids with the opportunity to get active and healthy minded.
“We are pleased to be associated with these exciting corporate family days,” said Elana, “The benefits of Corpfam will go far beyond the fun-filled day.” Ten percent of the proceeds from Corpfam will contribute towards township cricket development via JAG.
Ryan and Jean will coordinate and run the days, providing top quality catering and service as well as branded clothing, prizes and trophies for each company. Corpfam is ideal for corporate companies in need of a chance to re-energize their staff, their clients and even their corporate identity.
