Ryan is a former pro cricket player in South Africa and Europe having played for Western Province and in the UK and Holland. Ryan has coached at the highest level moving from the Dolphins to West Indies and then the Afghanistan National Cricket Team.
All CSE coaches have played the game at a high level and share Ryan’s passion for cricket and youth development.

Types of Coaching

One on One
Private cricket coaching will allow your child to enjoy personal 1 on 1 attention with one of our CSA qualified coaches. Our coaches will cover specific points of the game with an aim to focus on the more detailed aspects.
Batting, bowling, fielding as well as mental aspects of the game are covered in depth.

Group Coaching
We conduct private group coaching sessions during cricket season at various venues around the country for that extra bit of attention & practice needed before the game on Saturday or introductory classes to learn the fundamentals of the game.
To give CSE students enough individual attention, we have a ratio of max 8 players per coach.

High Performance coaching
CSE has consistently overseen the development of the best talent coming through the ranks from youth level.
We continue to offer high performance individual and group training to players who are on the verge of turning professional or looking to cement their place at the top level of club cricket.
Our network of coaches means these players will only be guided by experienced former national players and coaches.
Adopt A School Programme
Giving back to our communities
Our Adopt a School development initiatives are considered fundamental to what CSE strives to do.
Through partnerships - most recently with Tickmill - we are able to send our coaches to schools in Khayelitsha to introduce the game to young boys and girls.
The Cricket School of Excellence has been associated with Khayelitsha Cricket Club for 15 years and hosts a number of its junior members at Holiday Cricket Clinics during the school holidays.
Our vision is to further develop this programme to include a number of aspects such as playing/learning about cricket, life-skills programs and a mentorship element.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES hosted by CSE
CSE Birthday Parties focuses on sports-themed parties for students of all ages, with a fun filled and hassle free sports party for your children. With a passion for sporting excellence, our events team offer a range of innovative, adrenaline pumping sports activities focused on Cricket, Rugby, Netball, Hockey and Soccer.
Our sports parties are generally two hours in duration.
The costs for the party depend on the number of people attending the party and the number of coaches required.
