Many people speak of putting something back - Ryan Maron makes sure that he does.

Ryan began his cricket career at the age of 10. The late Stuart Leary was the man responsible for setting the youngster on the right path to cricket exellence. Maron remembers those early clinics, shared with so many aspiring young cricketers, with much fondness. Leary's passion for the game had a particularly huge impact on his life.

Throughout his early years Maron was selected to represent his province in various age groups. Then in 1995 and 1998 he attended the WP Superjuice academy and the Plascon academy respectively, which were coached by eminant greats such as Eddie Barlow, Hylton Ackerman and Clive Rice. A life long dream came true true in 1997 when he was chosen to represent the senior Western Province side.

The lasting impression left by Leary however, was never far from Maron's mind and in 1996 he started giving lessons on a small scale. He wanted to pass on and instil in inspiring cricketers the value of discipline, commitment and dedication that had stood him in such good stead on the cricket pitch. Those lessons grew and developed into what has become Ryan Maron's Cricket School of Exellence.

In his school Maron offers personalized coaching to youngsters, video analysis, Sunday morning cricket coaching and holiday schools throughout the year in both Cape Town and Gauteng.
